Budva is 3450 year old. The town has existed in ancient age. Historians believe that at the beginning it was an island that later joined the coast making the isthmus. The area around the town is known as The Budva Riviera. Budva is often called ‘tourist metropolis’ because it is one of the most visited destination in Montenegro, famous for its sandy beaches and exciting night life.

The Old Town was damaged by an earthquake in 1979 but it’s completely renewed.

The most beautiful view of the sea is from the town walls. It used to be a place from which enemies are watched. Today it is a place for romantic rendezvous and walks.
