Lovcen is not just a mountain. It is a sacred place for every Montengrin and visitors. Considered to be a symbol of statehood of Montenegro. Famous tribe Njegus gave seven rulers of Petrovic dynasty, five of them were state and church superiors and archbishops.

On the Lake ridge (Jezerski vrh),one of the highest point of Lovcen range, there is Mausoleum dedicated to famous poet and ruler Petar II Petrovic Njegos.
